Daneya Alvarez is a proud first-generation Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian American from Connecticut. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications and is continuing her Masters of Public Administration from the University of Connecticut. Daneya is passionate about public service, equity, and using storytelling to drive community impact. Her work focuses on building inclusive, people-centered systems, with a particular interest in civic engagement and expanding access to policy for underrepresented communities.

In her free time, Daneya enjoys expressing her creativity through hair, makeup, fashion design, and dance. Her Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian roots continue to inspire her commitment to culture, connection, and meaningful public work.
