Application Deadlines for Graduate Programs
Note: UConn undergraduate fast-track program applications are received on a rolling basis year-round.
Fall Admission
Undergraduate Fast-Track: accepted year round and are rolling admission.
February 15: Priority deadline for graduate programs
May 15: Final deadline for graduate programs. After May 15 please contact the School directly at publicpolicy@uconn.edu.
Spring Admission
Undergraduate Fast-Track: accepted year round and are rolling admission.
November 1 for graduate programs. Note for MPA and MPP applicants: Due to course sequencing, applicants should contact the School directly at publicpolicy@uconn.edu prior to applying for spring semester.
Application Submission
Applications for all graduate degree and graduate certificate programs are completed through the Graduate School’s Online Application.
UConn undergraduate fast-track applications should be emailed directly to publicpolicy@uconn.edu.

Application Instructions for Graduate Programs
Master of Public Administration (MPA) // Master of Public Policy (MPP)
MPA and MPP applications are completed through the Graduate School’s Online Application.
Application Requirements
- Unofficial transcripts for all college-level studies regardless of if a degree was awarded. If the applicant is admitted they must send official transcripts to gradadmissions@uconn.edu or mail them to:

- A current resume
- A 2-3 page double-spaced personal statement explaining your interest in your intended program, why you are pursuing said program, and how this program can help you reach your career goals.
- Students whose primary language is not English must also show evidence of proficiency in the English Language For more information and waiver options, please see the the Graduate School's website.
- The GRE is not required; however, the admissions committee will be looking for evidence that the applicant can successfully complete all necessary coursework, which requires strong writing and analytic/quantitative skills. If an applicant’s record of prior coursework does not demonstrate these abilities the applicant might benefit from submitting GRE scores or having recommendation writers specifically address such skills in their letters.

Note: If you are applying by February 15 and wish to be considered for a Graduate Assistantship, please select “Yes” for the question “Are you applying for a GA/Fellowship” in the survey section of the application.
MPA Executive Track (Fellows)
MPA Fellows applications are completed through the Graduate School’s Online Application. In the "Enrollment Cohort" section of the application, please indicate that you are applying to the Executive Track (Fellows) program.

Application Instructions for Undergraduate Programs
Fast-Track Program (for current UConn undergraduate students)
UConn undergraduate fast-track applications are available through the Graduate School’s Online Application. The Public Policy Fast-Track application is available under "UConn Accelerated UG to Grad." This application does not require a fee or test scores.
Application Requirements
- Unofficial transcripts for all college-level studies regardless of if a degree was awarded. If the applicant transferred from another institution prior to attending UConn they need to submit those transcripts.
- A current resume
- A 2-3 page double-spaced personal statement explaining your interest in your intended program, why you are pursuing said program, and how this program can help you reach your career goals
Fast-Track applications are accepted on a rolling-basis with students beginning coursework in either fall or spring.
Information for Additional Audiences
Current UConn Graduate Students Applying to a SPP Graduate Program
Current UConn graduate students do not pay the application fee. The fee is automatically waived. If you applied to UConn as a graduate student for the fall 2019 semester or later, please email publicpolicy@uconn.edu for further instructions to reduce the number of components you need to resubmit.
Individuals Interested in Non-Degree Registration
Prior to formally applying, students can take up to six credits (equivalent to two courses) as a non-degree student. If they earn a B- or better, this coursework can be applied toward a degree program if the course was taken within six years of degree application. Non-degree students must complete a bachelor’s degree prior to registration. Please take the following steps to register:
