Accreditation Manager, Wethersfield Police Department
I am currently the Accreditation Manager for the Wethersfield Police Department. My responsibilities include developing administrative systems to ensure the Department’s compliance with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement (CALEA) rules and regulations. This involves developing policies and procedures, maintaining records, and conducting administrative inspections and audits. Additionally, I serve on the Board of Directors for the Wethersfield Police Athletic League (PAL), a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering positive relationships between community youth and Wethersfield Police Officers through various funded programs.
Before joining the Wethersfield Police Department, I served as a Connecticut State Trooper, retiring in September 2024. During my career, I held various roles across Connecticut, including Patrol Trooper, Resident Trooper in the Town of Hebron, Major Crimes Detective, Prison Liaison/Court Officer, and Detective in the Background Investigative Unit.
Throughout my life and professional career, I have been passionate about serving my communities. I have coached soccer in East Hartford, volunteered as a delivery driver for Meals on Wheels, assisted with toy and backpack drives, volunteered with Shop with a Cop, served as a board member of a juvenile review board, ran a neighborhood block watch for the elderly, and taught Drug Abuse Resistance Education in elementary schools. I currently assist at all Wethersfield PAL events, working directly with youth. My personal values and upbringing have instilled in me the importance of kindness, fairness, reasonableness, integrity, courage, and civility. These qualities have shaped my strong principles of prioritizing others and always helping those in need.
