Stav Keshet (She/her) is a Research Assistant at the Institute for Municipal and Regional Policy (IMRP) and is currently completing a joint degree of Public Policy and Social Work at the University of Connecticut. Her academic background includes political theory, social movements, and qualitative methods at Mount Holyoke College.

Stav is passionate about policymaking and is particularly invested in using policy as a method of harm reduction within the criminal legal system. Her background includes working on issues of criminal legal reform with elected officials, advocacy groups, and think tanks. As a Research Assistant, Stav will be working under the supervision of Professor Lydia Wileden and will focus her work on the International Justice Exchange Project as well as projects involving quality of life within the correctional ecosystem in Connecticut.

My passion for public policy, research and community impact drives my academic and professional pursuits. At UConn, I look forward to engaging with new peers, learning from experienced faculty and immersing myself in the diverse projects and outreach initiatives that the program offers.

I am excited to contribute to meaningful research projects that can positively impact our community. This program represents a significant step in my journey toward making a tangible difference in the world and I am eager to embrace all the experiences and opportunities that lie ahead.
