Emerging Nonprofit Leaders of Color

The UConn School of Public Policy partners with the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven to offer the Emerging Nonprofit Leaders of Color program.

This is executive leadership program is designed for individuals currently employed in the Greater New Haven area as middle-management nonprofit staff and are on the trajectory to grow professionally.

About the Program

The two-year program accepts 10 participants per cohort. In year one, cohort members engage in monthly full-day executive education sessions on nonprofit management and dynamics with leading nonprofit professionals in the field. In year two, cohort members engage in hands-on application of leadership skills, network building and mentoring. Participants’ sponsoring nonprofit employers receive a two-year general operating grant.
