Alan Cunningham

Special Assistant to the Governor, State of Connecticut
Alan is a Middletown native and member of UConn’s MPA Fellows program. Currently, he serves as a Special Assistant to Governor Lamont. In this role, he works directly with the Governor traveling with him to events and assisting him in all daily operations. This included working with communications, scheduling, and constituent services teams in the Office of the Governor. Prior to this work, Alan was an organizer for multiple campaigns including the Governors. Alan has knocked doors in a half dozen states and phone banked for candidates across the country.
He also currently serves as an elected member of Middletown’s Planning and Zoning Commission. Alan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Sociology from The Catholic University of America.
