Professional Experience

Ben is a strategic and operational leader with over twenty-five years of direct experience in applying innovative strategies to improve service delivery, agency operations, managing day-to-day functions of non-profits, and extensive knowhow in preparing and managing multimillion dollar operating and capital budgets. Ben has also been a longtime fan of bullet point lists:

  • Ben is currently the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for Greenwich Public Schools in Greenwich, CT.
  • Prior to his current role, Ben was the Town Administrator and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Town of Greenwich, CT.
  • Prior to serving the Town of Greenwich, Ben served the Town of Stratford, CT as the last Town Manager and the first Chief Administrative Officer (CAO); also served as the first COO for the Stratford Public Schools.
  • Ben has a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma; while he does not physically wear the belt, he has brought the philosophy and practice to several organizations to drive transformation.
  • Ben is actively involved in community service, he is the Vice-Chair of the Board of nOURish Bridgeport, Inc., and member of the Stratford Board of Education Finance Committee; also, a former member of the Board of Trustees for Sterling House Community Center, Stratford, CT.
  • As an adjunct professor, Ben brings his extensive knowledge and real-world expertise to the academic environment, providing students with a practical and comprehensive understanding of operations management and public administration to be problem-solvers.
