Teaching and Applied Policy Interests

At the University of Connecticut, she has taught undergraduate and graduate students across the Neag School of Education, the English Department, and First Year Experience programs at UConn Stamford. Dr. Cara J. Zimon is an educator and researcher whose work focuses on public systems design, workforce retention, and equity-centered institutional policy. She currently teaches at the University of Connecticut, working primarily with first-year students during a pivotal transition period that has significant implications for persistence, equity, and long-term workforce participation.
