Carrie is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Sciences and is certified to teach grades 7-12. Carrie is originally from Wallingford, CT, and recently purchased a home with her husband in Cromwell, CT.
Upon graduation from Central Connecticut State University, Carrie obtained a position working for PLAN of CT, a nonprofit organization in Hartford. This opportunity helped Carrie shape her future of working in nonprofits and public organizations. Carrie left her position at PLAN of CT to pursue higher education and began working in the Bursar’s Office at UConn Health. Later she transitioned to a role in Graduate School Bursar providing significant program support to the PhD Biomedical Science program.
Carrie is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration. She learned of the program from a colleague who had recently completed the MPA and how its benefits would provide for a career in higher education and public service. The coursework thus far has significantly enhanced her skills and has allowed her to contribute in her current position at a higher capacity. Upon successful completion of the MPA program, Carrie hopes to obtain a leadership role in higher education.
