Human Resources Generalist, City of Danbury

A native of New York, Christina Norman moved to Connecticut and soon after was hired by the City of Danbury, Department of Human Resources and Civil Service. Prior to joining the City of Danbury, Christina worked for large food retailer for over 19 years and held a variety of positions. Her most recent position before her departure was a District Human Resources Specialist overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training and HR Investigations for 9 stores located throughout New York and New Jersey. Christina holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Westchester Community College located in Valhalla, NY and a Bachelor’s of Science in Behavioral Science from Concordia College formerly located in Bronxville, NY. In addition to her degrees, Christina completed the NGA Executive Leadership Development Program at Cornell University in June of 2021. When not working or going to school, Christina loves spending time with family, reading and listening to music. She is very excited to be part of the Fellows program and to become a UConn Husky
