Jenna Rowlson
MPA Fellows, Class of 2027
Executive Assistant, Vice Provost for Academic Operations and Vice Provost for Health Sciences and Interdisciplinary Initiatives, UConn
My journey at the University of Connecticut began as a transfer student to the West Hartford campus, eventually earning a BS in Nutritional Sciences from Storrs. After graduation, I embarked on a 25-year career in education and project management, living in several states and raising two daughters along the way.
In 2023, I returned to Connecticut and joined UConn as the Executive Assistant to both the Vice Provost for Academic Operations and the Vice Provost for Health Sciences and Interdisciplinary Initiatives. In this role, I provide high-level administrative support, including managing communications and assisting with the development and review of presentations and policies. I also contribute to executive-level initiatives such as leadership reviews, executive searches, and university events. This experience has sparked a growing interest in public policy and administration, leading me to explore the MPA program as a way to deepen my understanding and expand my impact within higher education.
