Research Associate II, UConn Health


Marsha Murray-Omega is a research professional with over 15 years of experience advancing health equity through research, program evaluation, and community-engaged initiatives. She currently serves as a Research Associate II at UConn Health, where she leads statewide evaluation efforts for the Connecticut Project to Prevent Opioid Overdose Deaths and oversees prevention evaluation for the State Opioid Response initiative, including the redesign of Connecticut’s SEOW Data Portal to ensure data is accessible and actionable. In addition to her research leadership, Marsha is Vice President of Tier 1 Salaried Employees for University Health Professionals (UHP) Local 3837, advocating for workplace equity and professional development, and serving in leadership roles at the regional and national labor level. She is the founder of Northern Belle, LLC, developing social and educational programming to empower women and communities, and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals focused on health disparities and public health outcomes. Marsha holds a Master of Science in Research, Statistics, and Measurement and has received numerous honors for her leadership and community impact, including the 100 Women of Color Award and a White House invitation to the United State of Women Summit.
