Human Resources Specialist, CT Department of Administrative Services

Nicole Brown is a Human Resources Specialist with the State of Connecticut at the Department of Administrative Services (DAS). In this role, Nicole develops and facilitates training on statewide human resources information systems for agency leadership, human resources professionals, and stakeholders. Additionally, she provides guidance to multiple state agencies related to the administration of and compliance with human resources policies in accordance with current state guidelines and collective bargaining unit contracts.

Prior to her work with the State of Connecticut, Nicole served in multiple roles at one of Connecticut’s largest non-profit community action agencies for over 7 years, with her most recent role as a Quality Assurance Data Analyst in which she monitored program contractual compliance for several agency departments.

Nicole remains highly motivated and committed to advancing her career with the State of Connecticut to achieve systemic progress in equitable access to quality public service programming at the local, state, and federal levels. Also, she is a member of the Connecticut Public Health Association (CPHA) which advocates for innovation and enhancements related to public health infrastructure, research, policy, and programming via networking opportunities, continuing education events, and mentoring services.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University in Psychology and Pre-Medical Studies.
