Tom Fulton graduated from UConn in 2016 with a Bachelors degree in Cognitive Science. He began working in substance use prevention as a PreventionCorps service member, which is an AmeriCorps program. His work there largely focused on addressing the opioid crisis in Connecticut. In 2018, he began working for the non-profit healthcare organization Wheeler Health as a Resource Specialist. During his 5-year tenure, he was promoted to Project Coordinator and then Program Manager. He also received recognition as the Prevention Professional of the Year in 2021. Tom began his current role with the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services in January 2024. He’s strongly committed to providing impactful, evidence-informed substance use prevention programs and services to Connecticut communities.
