Vanessa Reineke is originally from Fargo, North Dakota, and moved to Connecticut to pursue advanced education. She is an MPP student working with the School of Public Policy as a Research Assistant for the 2024-25 school year.

Vanessa graduated from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT with a BA in Sociology and a BS in Economics in May 2024. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and is a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society. Vanessa worked on a university research team during her undergrad focusing on social inclusion and what data can be gathered to properly measure a school’s social climate. She also spent two fall semesters working as a Peer Catalyst and received certification in peer education.
