Take a Course
UConn non-degree study allows individuals who are not enrolled in a degree program to take graduate-level courses in the School of Public Policy.
Non-Degree Registration
You can use the courses you take toward a graduate degree program in the future. A maximum of 6 credits, with an earned grade of a B- or better, can be transferred into a degree program. In order for the course to count as transfer credit, it must have been taken within six years.
All non-degree courses in the School of Public Policy cost $1,000 per credit effective fall 2023. The cost of a 3-credit course is $3,000.
If you have a bachelor’s degree or higher and wish to register for a course as a non-degree with the School of Public Policy, please follow the steps below:
- Apply for non-degree study.
- Program Affiliation: Approved to take an online graduate certificate program course (even if it is an in-person course)
- Program: Nonprofit Management (if taking a nonprofit course); Leadership and Public Management (if taking LPM or PFM certificate courses); Survey Research (if taking a survey research course)
- Campus: Hartford (even if it is an online course)
