“The UCONN MPA Fellows program changed how I approach my work. I was working in the nonprofit sector when I started, and learning alongside a cohort of people facing the same challenges made the coursework feel immediately useful. I’d learn something in class and use it at work that same week. Our discussions often went beyond the assignments because everyone brought real problems from their own organizations. Those classmates also became a network I could lean on long after we finished, and we are still great friends today. The program taught me to back up decisions with data, understand how organizations actually change, and make a clear case to leadership. I still use those skills every day in my work.”
