Ryan Baldassario

Ryan Baldassario is the Director of Engagement for the School of Public Policy. In this role, Ryan manages a number of professional development, outreach, and external relations efforts. Ryan also instructs internship courses and oversees the Internship and Professional Practice (IPP) program, the Public Sector Executive Leadership Collaborative, and an array of community outreach and alumni engagement initiatives. Starting Summer 2025 Ryan will also oversee the SPP Alumni Mentoring Program.

Prior to joining SPP, Ryan spent six years administering the Full-Time MBA program at the UConn School of Business – overseeing advising, orientation, faculty scheduling, student club advising, and event management efforts for graduate business students. Ryan has also taught a number of sections of UNIV 1800 FYE courses in Hartford and Storrs, along with Field Study Internship courses in the School of Business.

Ryan earned his undergraduate degree from the Honors Program at CCSU, his MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the Neag School of Education at UConn, and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the UConn School of Public Policy.
