“When I entered the MPA program, I was an HR Generalist with the City of Danbury, coming from a background in the private sector. The program helped me build real confidence working in the public sector and opened my eyes to the many career paths public service offers. While in the program, I was promoted to HR Manager, and what I learned played an important part in preparing me for that role. It also strengthened my public speaking skills, which I now use regularly when leading trainings and presenting to departments and leadership. One of the most meaningful parts of the experience has been the relationships I built with my cohort. I learned so much from their perspectives, and those connections continue to support and inspire me. I truly love this program and am grateful for everything it has given me.”
