Amy Livolsi

Deputy Corporation Counsel

City of Stamford (CT)

Amy LiVolsi serves as Deputy Corporation Counsel for the City of Stamford, where she advises city officials and local boards on a broad range of legal matters, with a focus on transparency, ethics, and public governance. Over the past decade, she has also played a key role in advancing the City’s compliance with the Freedom of Information Act, including serving as Stamford’s first FOIA Compliance Officer.
Amy brings a unique perspective to public law, drawing from her experience as a former Commissioner on the Connecticut Freedom of Information Commission, where she helped decide hundreds of public access cases. She is a frequent speaker and trainer on FOIA, helping public officials navigate open records laws and conduct effective, lawful public meetings.
Earlier in her career, Amy worked in private practice as General Counsel to a real estate developer and focused on civil litigation, real estate, and small business matters. She has also been an active civic leader, having chaired Stamford’s Board of Ethics and served on a number of municipal and nonprofit boards.
A lifelong Stamford resident and proud Stamford High School alum, Amy is also a dedicated advocate for veterans—leading free trauma-informed yoga classes for veterans and their families—and is a loyal Army West Point football fan.
