Carrie Jachimczyk

MPA Fellows, Class of 2028

Administrative Assistant, Town of Greenwich, CT

Carrie Jachimczyk currently serves as an Administrative Assistant in the Business Office of Greenwich Public Schools, where she manages facilities rentals and supports a variety of operational and administrative functions. Prior to joining Greenwich Public Schools, she worked at JPMorgan Chase as a Business Operations Associate for the JPMorgan Chase PolicyCenter and Institute, managing budgets, vendor relationships, grantmaking operations, and cross-functional initiatives spanning philanthropy, policy, research, and community development.

Earlier in her career, Carrie spent more than a decade as an equity trader and market maker with Knight Capital Group and Trimark Securities. Following the birth of her children, she dedicated many years to family caregiving while serving in volunteer leadership roles within the Stamford Public Schools community, gaining experience in nonprofit governance, budgeting, fundraising, grant writing, and volunteer management.

Carrie’s interest in public policy has been shaped by her experiences as both a caregiver and a public-sector professional. As the mother of an adult son with significant disabilities, she has spent years navigating complex healthcare, education, and disability-service systems. These experiences inspired her to pursue the UConn Executive MPA to deepen her understanding of public policy, public finance, and organizational leadership. She hopes to use the knowledge and skills gained through the program to help improve public services for individuals and families.

Carrie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Baruch College and lives in Stamford, Connecticut, with her husband and family.
