Daniel Klashner

MPA Fellows, Class of 2028


Daniel Klashner is a UConn student completing his B.A. in Psychology during the 2026–2027 academic year while pursuing a Master of Public Administration through the Executive track at the School of Public Policy. He is a U.S. Army National Guard veteran and former noncommissioned officer, with professional experience spanning a decade in the medical technology field.

In his medical technology career, Daniel has worked with healthcare professionals and organizations throughout Connecticut and the broader New England region, gaining experience in relationship management, problem-solving, and working across complex organizational environments.

His academic and professional interests include public administration, organizational leadership, civic engagement, and the practical challenges of turning public policy into effective programs and services. Daniel is particularly interested in how public-sector leaders can improve decision-making, reduce friction between people and the services they need, and enable public institutions to be even more responsive to the communities they serve.
