Administrative and Financial Director, UConn Health


Diane L. Evans is an administrative and financial leader with extensive experience in academic healthcare operations, budgeting, personnel administration, and strategic planning. She currently serves as the Administrative and Financial Director for the Department of Medicine at UConn Health, where she provides leadership and oversight for a large and complex department that supports clinical care, research, education, and community-based initiatives.

In her role, Diane works closely with department leadership, faculty, staff, and institutional partners to manage financial operations, guide resource planning, strengthen administrative processes, and ensure alignment with institutional priorities. Her work includes oversight of operating and grant-related budgets, faculty and staff administration, financial reporting, compliance support, and process improvement across multiple divisions.

In addition to her professional work, Diane is deeply committed to faith-based service, leadership, and community impact. Through ministry and community outreach, she supports initiatives that address food insecurity, provide youth programming, encourage healing and hope, promote personal growth, and strengthen service to others.

Diane holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Charter Oak State College. She is excited about her journey in the MPA Fellows program at UConn and looks forward to expanding her knowledge in public administration, policy, and organizational leadership. She remains committed to using her experience, education, and faith-centered values to support meaningful and sustainable change within public institutions and the communities they serve.
