Fritny was born in Port au Prince, Haiti, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern Connecticut State University with a BA in Political Science and minor in Pre-Law. During her  time at Eastern, Fritny served as the Treasurer for the Human Rights Club, was an active member of the Pre-Law Society and the ECSU chapter of the Multicultural Leadership Council, and was inducted into the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science National Honor Society. Most of Fritny’s undergraduate studies focused on criminal justice policies.

Fritny was selected to intern for the Connecticut Judicial Branch through their experiential learning program, where she was assigned to work under Adult Probation. Fritny’s internship exposure to the justice system fueled her interest in prison reform and addressing the racial disparity within these systems. Her undergraduate studies promulgated love for analytical thinking, problem solving, writing, research, public service, and promoting justice. Fritny learned the importance of local policies and how they directly affect our daily lives, both positively and negatively.

Fritny will work as a Teaching Assistant for Professor Ken Barone in Fall 2023. Fritny’s goal is to become an attorney, while pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) will strengthen her abilities and make her more equipped to achieve future goals. Fritny looks forward to expanding her knowledge through research and helping to promote community improvement policies.
