Save the Sound

Josh oversees institutional fundraising, membership, and events at Save the Sound. He collaborates with program staff on revenue strategy and compliance, leads development operations, chairs the management team, and spearheads special initiatives.

Prior to joining Save the Sound, Josh was the Director of Grants for Domus Kids in Stamford CT, where he led the grants team and handled communications for a nonprofit working to engage off-track young people in school, positive youth development, and vocational training. Prior to that, he was a magazine writer and editor: He served as executive editor at Martha Stewart Living magazine and articles editor at This Old House magazine; has written for Consumer Reports, Popular Science, Health, Prevention, Scholastic, and The New York Times; and was a columnist for Money magazine for eight years.

Josh is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. He served for many years as a leader of the Representative Town Meeting in Fairfield CT, an elected legislative position. He and his wife are empty nesters, and he spends his free time renovating his 1920s house, chucking tennis balls for his rescue Labrador, and crewing for sailing teams during Wednesday night racing out of Black Rock Harbor.
