Lesly Vargas is a public service professional dedicated to community support, case management, and administrative efficiency within state government and public safety sectors. She currently serves as an Eligibility Services worker for the Connecticut Department of Social Services, where she evaluates program qualifications, manages complex client caseloads, and helps individuals navigate state benefit programs. Her background includes data analyst experience with Yale New Haven Hospital and frontline operational experience as a Community Assistant with the New York City Police Department (NYPD). Lesly holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Berkeley College. While in college, Lesly interned in Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation a non-profit multi-service agency. Lesly focused on community organizations, social services and health, as well as education for teens, adults and seniors. Lesly is fluent in English and Spanish. She focuses on improving equity, service delivery, and public administration.
