Tom Ruderman

HR Consultant and Executive Coach


Tom Ruderman recently retired as the Senior Vice President of Talent and Knowledge at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Tom is currently a Human Resources consultant and executive coach who is committed to helping nonprofit organizations maximize their effectiveness by enhancing their leadership and culture.

Tom worked in Human Resources for 40 years, primarily in the for-profit sector, and led the Human Resources function for two separate organizations during the last 15 years of his career. His experience included progressively responsible assignments with General Electric, Cigna, and Citigroup. He also worked for two years at a firm providing strategic human resources consulting services, including executive search, organizational design and implementation, and executive development, to clients nationwide.

Tom has a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.S. degree in Psychology from Tufts University, where we graduated summa cum laude.

He is married to his college sweetheart, Jan, and they have two grown children and three grandchildren (whom they spoil rotten). Tom enjoys extreme hiking, mountain biking, obstacle races, travel, meditation, and continuing to learn, grow, and evolve.
