Toniko Cox is a dynamic and detail-oriented professional with extensive expertise in organizational management, compliance, and quality control. As an inclusive facilitator and skilled public speaker, she leverages creative thinking to drive social justice initiatives and community-focused solutions. Toniko is the founder of STAARS in 2015, which provides customized administrative services to consumers and small businesses. This multifaceted role includes financial literacy, advocacy, review and implementation of policy & procedures, health insurance, notary public services, and more.
She holds her bachelor’s in Science Health Administration (University of Phoenix), Associate Science in Medical Assisting (Goodwin), Biology (Horry Georgetown Tech College). DHHS, FEMA, HUD Housing Counseling Certification, FSA Certification.
Through the MPA Fellows program, Toniko aims to strengthen her passion and understanding of policy and procedures, being a stronger voice when advocating for those who are marginalized and disenfranchised. Outside her professional role, she has served as the appointed chapter secretary for the Northeast Region with WoodmenLife Chapter 120 by servicing the needs of her members, community, first responders, municipalities, schools and other non-profits through providing in-kind resources, flag presentation and more. She also volunteers with her local CERT team as a certified Train the Trainer. Her most precious moments are spent with her four adult kids and four grandkids which complete the foundation of her life.
