Yanira Amadeo, Ph.D., is an experienced philanthropy and nonprofit leader, scholar, and educator whose work sits at the intersection of philanthropy, public policy, higher education, and social impact. With more than two decades of experience in institutional advancement and fundraising, she brings a practitioner-scholar perspective to understanding how philanthropy can strengthen communities, expand educational opportunity, and advance more inclusive systems of giving.

Dr. Amadeo currently serves as Executive Director of Development for the University of Connecticut’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, where she leads philanthropic strategy, major gift development, donor engagement, and advancement initiatives supporting the College’s academic and student priorities. Her work encompasses strategic fundraising, campaign development, leadership and major gifts, alumni and family engagement, and the cultivation of philanthropic partnerships.
