Thirty-Nine MPA and MPP Interns Making an Impact in Connecticut

Thirty-nine UConn MPA and MPP students began internships on August 23 as part of the Department of Public Policy’s Internship and Professional Practice and Sponsored Internship programs.  The students are placed in 32 organizations across Connecticut, including state agencies, local governments and nonprofits.

These students are supporting the work of town managers, state agency leaders, nonprofit CEOs and all levels of public sector senior leadership.  Students will gain valuable experience as they work on wide-range projects, including state-wide brownfield redemption, hospital care delivery improvements, assessment tools for social services and tax abatement policy development. Department of Public Policy graduate interns are making an impact and difference at:

  • Adelbrook Behavioral and Development Services
  • Boys and Girls Village
  • Bristol Resource Recovery Facility
  • Career Resources, Inc.
  • City of Hartford
  • Coalition for New Britain’s Youth
  • Connecticut Council of Family Service Agencies
