The School of Public Policy (SPP) is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator (Educational Program Coordinator) to launch and manage the expansion of two programs to the Stamford campus. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the day-to-day recruitment, marketing, and program coordination for the School of Public Policy’s Master of Public Administration executive-track (MPA Fellows) program and the undergraduate Fast-Track (4+1) program in Stamford.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the overall recruitment strategies for the MPA Fellows and Fast-Track programs at the Stamford campus.
- Responsible for generating prospective students by implementing proactive and creative networking and recruitment activities such as outreach to the local and surrounding communities and organizations and attending information sessions and other standard recruitment events.
- Initiating and maintaining regular communication with students to provide a high level of customer service, as the first point of contact, and advising students throughout the application process.
- Collaborating with Directors to plan and implement program services and activities in accordance with program goals and objectives and supervising the day-to-day delivery of program content and services.
- Serving as a resource to potential and current students, faculty, staff, and others on matters relating to program policies, procedures, and activities.
- Collecting and analyzing student data, faculty, and program evaluations, etc., to assess the effectiveness of program content and procedures.
- Creating reports regarding prospective student data to develop strategic recruitment strategies and identify and document student tracking methods to determine yield rates from various outreach activities.
- Preparing budget recommendations to the Directors; managing program revenues and expenditures and participating in preparing budget reports and projections for the program.
- Coordinates and implements new student orientation for the MPA Fellows cohort.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Three to four years of related work experience.
- Prior experience independently implementing educational program(s) and identifying and resolving day-to-day program problems.
- Demonstrated experience taking initiative, working independently and accurately, and meeting deadlines.
- Proven experience working well as part of a team.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in public administration, higher education, or a related field.
- Proven experience successfully recruiting and/or counseling students.
- Demonstrated experience with customer relationship management (CRM) technology, such as Slate or similar software.
- Demonstrated experience using digital media platforms for recruitment and marketing.
- Ability to engage, connect, and work with diverse student, administrative, and faculty populations and provide a commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in an educational setting.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a full-time, end-date, annually renewable (based on performance and funding) position based in Stamford, CT. Occasional meetings at the Hartford campus where the School of Public Policy is located may be required. The salary for this position is $60,000.
