UConn’s School of Public Policy (SPP) is proud to announce that U.S. News & World Report has ranked our public finance and budgeting offerings as 9th in the country and 2nd in New England! Over 265 public affairs programs were included in this year’s rankings. The top three programs in our region continue to include Harvard University’s Kennedy School and Brown University’s Watson School.

Since 2006 our Internship and Professional Practice program has engaged over 100 state agencies, municipalities and nonprofits. We continue to have a 100% internship placement rate for full-time graduate students in their second year. These positions complete 585 hours of skilled experience where students are compensated with a stipend, medical benefits and tuition scholarship. SPP Huskies complete over 30,000 hours of public service annually.

SPP faculty impact spans 11 different specialities and includes 15 full-time faculty and 21 adjuncts. We recap their research each year in the fall. This spring SPP expanded to UConn Stamford, and our programs continue to see areas of growth in Hartford and Storrs.
