Emily Menard earned her Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Connecticut. She pursued her Masters of Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Social, Health, and Family Policy. During the second year of the MPA program, Emily completed her Internship and Professional Practice (IPP) placement with The Village for Families and Children in Hartford, working with the Grants and Development Department. In this role, Emily conducted research to support program development; drafted public testimony, funding proposals, and narrative documents; and participated in meetings for a variety of committees, councils, and working groups. After graduation, Emily hopes to leverage her education and experience in the maternal and child health field.
