Congratulations to Masters of Public Policy (MPP) student Madeline Doyle & her teammates for recently winning their Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) Simulation Competition site!

The theme for 2025’s simulation was Pandemic and called upon, “University teams [to] balance the economic, political, and public health fallout of a deadly disease outbreak, working to devise a response” (NASPAA). This year’s competition was virtual and Madeline’s team won on March 1st. Her team included:

  • Ismael Kahiu from Bridgewater State University
  • Jasmin Lane from Old Dominion University
  • Morgan Stewart from Old Dominion University

During the competition she utilized skill sets she obtained from the School of Public Policy (SPP). Madeline says,

I used project management skills that I learned from Professor Renzo’s project management course. In both cases, we worked under time constraints and had to develop deliverables. My favorite part was networking with the individuals on my team. Everyone brought a unique perspective and set of skills that made our team a success.

Congratulations again to Madeline and her teammates!
