The Department of Public Policy (DPP) would like to welcome Rachel Rattan, MPP ‘21, as the Social Media Student Assistant. Rachel is completing her second year in the Master of Public Policy (MPP) program with a focus area in Public Policy, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Currently she is aggregating and analyzing data related to racial disparities in the Foster Care system. She is also working with the DCF Office of Multicultural Affairs to assist in the development of the 2021 Racial Justice Legislative Review by analyzing data that views child welfare through a racial justice lens, including the impact of COVID-19 and other systemic factors.
