Last month UConn’s School of Public Policy (SPP) welcomed new students to campus and the SPP Network! For a fourth year in a row, SPP welcomed a record number of applications. Between our masters programs and graduate certificates we welcomed over new 100 students!
Amongst our Master of Public Administration (MPA), Master of Public Policy (MPP), MPA Fellows and Master of Arts in Survey Research (MASR) students 64% identify as female. Out of the incoming class 80% hail from our great state of Connecticut! Other states represented include Idaho, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
Four percent of the Class of 2024 come to us from outside of the United States, and 42% of students identify as people of color. Their undergraduate fields of study include:

- Business or Math 7%
- Education 1%
- Health Sciences 4%
- Interdisciplinary 8%
- Social Science 74%
