You’ve worked hard and earned your degree. Now it’s time to celebrate!
Monday, May 11 is the School of Public Policy’s Ceremony to Honor Our Graduates . Our festivities will take place at Infinity Hall in Hartford from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.
Larisa Kottke, MPA’13, President & CEO of Leadership Greater Hartford, will serve as ceremony host.
Here’s a helpful timeline:
Monday, May 11 – for Students
1:00 pm – Class pictures at Hartford Times Building Atrium (10 Prospect Street, Hartford). Be on time to be in the picture! Please bring your full regalia and see the tutorial on how to wear your regalia.
2:15 pm – Begin lineup in the Atrium by degree. You will be seated with your classmates in the balcony at Infinity Hall.
2:50 pm – Processional march down Front Street to Infinity Hall.
3:00pm – Ceremony begins
5:00 pm – Anticipated ceremony end time. Proceed to the Hartford Times Building Atrium for a reception immediately afterwards. All guests are welcome! You can take pictures with your friends, parents, and faculty, etc.
For Guests:
2:00 pm – Infinity Hall doors open. Guests can pick up their tickets at Will Call if they did not receive them in advance. A cash bar will be open from 2 pm – 2:45 pm.

Regalia: be sure to review How to Wear Regalia
- Please bring your full regalia (robe, hood, cap, tassel). There should still be hoods and tassels available to buy at Barnes & Noble this week.
- If you would like to donate your regalia for future graduations, please give it to one of the SPP staff after the ceremony/reception, or leave it in the white bag in the Atrium.
Accessibility:
- There are stairs at Infinity Hall to get to the balcony. Please reach out to Maura Maloney if you need accessibility accommodations.
- Guests may use the elevator to get into the theater. It is a few steps down from the lobby to the theater.
- The procession into Infinity Hall may be loud so please warn your guests who may be sensitive to loud noises.

Reminder re. Tickets:
- Guest tickets are available for pick up at the 4th floor SPP office, M-Th 8:30 am-4 pm. If you cannot pick up your tickets or have no way of getting them to your guest, they can pick them up at the Will Call table as they arrive at Infinity Hall. There are no more tickets available. If you have tickets you do not plan to use, please return them to SPP so they can be provided to another attendee someone else.
