UConn Public Policy Inducts 62 Students Into Pi Pi Alpha

On March 25th, UConn Public Policy held their annual Pi Pi Alpha Induction Ceremony. This year’s virtual event included the nomination of the new Pi Pi Alpha Board alongside the induction of 62 Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Master of Public Policy (MPP) students. 

Festivities began with a welcome from Pi Pi Alpha President and MPA’16 graduate Douglas Shipman and congratulatory remarks from Pi Pi Alpha Faculty Advisor Nina Brooks. Doug will continue to serve as President, with Paula Norato as Vice President, Jessica Seabrook as Secretary and Beverne Cordner as Treasurer for the UConn Chapter. Professor Mark D. Robbins served as the Keynote Speaker. Mark served as Faculty Advisor for many years and will be retiring at the end of this academic year.
